GCash and TNG Wallet partnership offers faster remittance for OFWs in HK

To provide a more accessible and convenient digital financial solution for overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) and their families, GCash, the Philippines’ leading mobile wallet, has teamed up with TNG Wallet, a P2P mobile remittance app in Hong Kong.

With just a few taps on their mobile phone, Filipino migrants in Hong Kong can now send money directly to their loved one’s GCash Wallet via the TNG Wallet app, both of which they can download for free on Google Play or the App Store.

“Together with TNG Wallet, we are very excited to introduce this digital remittance solution for OFWs in Hong Kong as we share the same goal of providing safe, fast, and seamless digital financial solutions for our customers. GCash strives to continue its efforts to make OFWs' lives easier and better wherever they are,” said GCash President and CEO Martha Sazon.

With this partnership, OFWs in Hong Kong are assured that their loved ones will receive their remittance safely and in real time.

“The process of sending remittances can now be easily and securely done in just a few seconds with their mobile phone on the GCash app, which also helps ensure their safety, especially during the pandemic. At GCash, we are continuously adding new leading remittance partners to the app’s network so GCash users can now have access to TNG Wallet and more to come,” said GCash AVP for International Remittance Jules Abalos.

On the GCash app, OFWs can also pay for their SSS contributions via the Pay Bills feature. They can also easily access financial services such as GInsure for affordable insurance packages, GInvest for investments in stocks and bonds, and GSave to manage their financial savings.

OFWs can download the GCash app on Google Play or App Store and register an account, provided they have an active and roaming Philippine SIM card.
