CCCI releases Official Candidates to the 2023 Election of Trustees



The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), through its Commission on Elections (COMELEC), is officially releasing the list of seventeen (17) candidates qualified to contend for ten (10) vacant positions in the 2023 Election of Trustees on February 23 (Thursday) at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, Cebu City. 

Filling in as candidates for the three (3) seats in the Industry sector are Assistant to the President of Cebu Steel Corporation, Charles Kenneth Co; Founder and Vice-Chairman of GT Cosmetics Manufacturing, Inc., Engr. Leonora Salvane; and VP-Business Development, International Pharmaceuticals Inc. (IPI) Cebu, Stanley Uang.

Aspiring four (4) candidates for the three (3) available seats in the Trade sector are the President of Puresteel Manufacturing Corporation, Mr. Bernard Chioson; President & Managing Director of Greenworld LED Solutions, Inc., Francis Dy; Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Dealogikal Corp., Ira Jon Keiner; and Chief Operating Officer of 6R Mercantile Inc and RDAK, Regan Rex King. 

Contending for the three (3) vacant seats in the Service sector are eight (8) notable candidates: Principal Architect of Avila Architects and President of JESA Management Corporation, Arch. Benjamin Avila; Partner & Head of Cebu Branch of P&A Grant Thornton (Punongbayan & Araullo), Wendell Gahinhin; President of Able Services, Edwin Vincent Ortiz; President, Primehomes Development Corporation and the President & CEO, RAQ Holdings (Golden Prince Hotel & Suites, Golden Valley Hotel, Golden Charm Pawnshop Inc. and Grace Academy), Benedict Que; Founder and President/CEO of Premier Family Business Consultants Inc., Jonathan Ramos; VP Operations and General Manager of Bai Hotel Cebu, Alfred Reyes; Founder and Senior Partner, Tanco & Partners Law Offices and Head of Legal Department, MSY Holdings Corporation, Atty. Joseph Tanco; and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of Premier Family Business Consultancy, Jefferson Tio.

Also, two (2) candidates vie for the Sectoral seat are the Founder/President of FAMCOR Consultants & Associates, Virgilio “Nonoy’ Espeleta; and the President of Financial Executives Institute of Cebu (FINEX), Jacqueline Wenceslao.

In its 3rd year, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry will hold an e-election in partnership with Isla Lipana & Co., PwC in the Philippines.

The deadline for the submission of filled-out e-ballots is 12 NN of February 23, during the General Membership Meeting (GMM).
